First Night of Sydney Festival

It was a happy and hungry crowd at Sydney Festival's First Night last Saturday. This is the section in front of the Hyde Park performance.

This is the stage area where the very compelling Kitty, Daisy and Lewis were playing.

  1. I have been to each of the 1st Nights until this one. They were just becoming too too crowded for mine. And they insisted no BYO. And the food was so expensive, and the queues so long. I gather quite a few others did not go this year either, and the crowds were much better. Bit of a Catch-22 in that somewhere ...

  2. I ended up not going. I just wasn't in the mood to tackle the crowds.

  3. There might have been less people there this year but they still cram everything into small spaces so it was very hectic. Martin Place and Chifley Square were filled to capacity, while Elizabeth & Macquarie streets which were blocked off, remained empty.

  4. Looks like you are getting less rain than we are. There is no chance of anything outdoor happening up here at present.
