What a gorgeous, capture, Peter! Of course, I always love seeing the Opera House, but such lovely skies and the moon as well is breathtaking! Hope your week is going well and wishing you a great weekend!
How can it be a full moon rising ? It's got to be a full moon setting. The shot was taken at sunrise, right? The sun and moon follow the same course (east to west.
At times of full moon as one rises the other disappears (which is not the case at different times of the month where the timing slowly goes off, which is why you can see a moon crescent way up in the sky in broad daylight)
Nathalie, thanks for taking the time to comment, I love your blog and photos. The photo was taken at sunset looking east so as the sun was setting behind me the full moon was rising in the east.
Dammit, I've back in the Northern hemisphere for too long, I got my east and west confused with what happens here. Shame on me. I should come back downunder soon for a refresher!

This is great ... a beautifully different take on our favourite building.
ReplyDeleteLovely, one small suggestion - can you clone out the poles at the bottom right?
