Oldest trees in Sydney?

In the Botanic Garden is this tree, there is a sign beside it saying it is a direct decedent of trees that were here in 1816. Mmmmm. It is an Eucalyptus Tereticornis or a Forest Red Gum.

Melbourne Cup Lunch in Sydney

Today at 3.00pm the nation stops to watch and listen to a horse race ... the Melbourne Cup. Sydney also stops beforehand to have lunch. It is a good excuse to bring out the facinators.
