Sydneysiders have been warned to brace themselves for a day of wild weather, with heavy rain forecast to strike the metropolitan area during the morning peak followed by an afternoon of damaging winds. The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a severe weather warning for heavy rain and damaging winds for the Metropolitan, Hunter, Illawarra and South Coast forecast districts on Monday. Basically its raining cats and dogs!
