Hah, this is outside the old Academy Twin. I often wonder how this works. I once joined a group of book-swappers for arvo tea and got diddled. I took along the latest of very good quality, and in return could only choose from ancient university texts. I took a dozen and returned home with one. Never again.
And speaking of the Academy Twin. It has been vacant for upwards of two years now. The owners hiked up the rent, and Palace went elsewhere. That was some economic decision by the owners, hey!!
A nice idea but "people have been taking more than they are giving". Not a surprise unfortunately. I give mine to the local charity shop but no idea whether or not they sell. Still its better than throwing them out.
There is a book swap like this at our local railway station. Given the long commute the possibility the serendipity of a good book in the pile is a nice idea.
