The big sheep

This is one of the many 'Big' things that country towns erect to attract visitors. This ram is at Goulburn about 2 hours drive south of Sydney. Australia used to rely on wool exports, it was said 'we rode on the sheep's back'.

South Sydney Rabbitohs at Town Hall

The sport with the biggest following in Sydney is Rugby League. The season has just ended and the premiers are the Bunnies. The South Sydney Rabbitohs last won in 1971, hence the jubilation for their fans. Yesterday they were presented with the keys to the city, a first for a league team. Russell Crowe is part owner and the game was a particulary brutal one against the Bulldogs. The bunnies best, Sam Burgess, broke his eye socket in the opening minute and played on. Rhinos as Art

Pitt St Mall rhino.

An initiative of Taronga Zoo.

'A huge herd of 125 wildly colourful rhino sculptures have charged into town to create a spectacular world class sculpture trail through the streets, parks and public spaces of Sydney, Dubbo and surrounds during February to April 2014 to help raise awareness of the critical plight facing rhinos through poaching and habitat loss.'
