Storm Damage

This is my neighbour's house with my gum tree across his deck. This rotten old Spotted Gum needed cutting down but, its the same old story, the council would not give permission. Luckily it missed his house. Also how strong was his deck, he'd just finished building it.

Maybe NOW council will rethink the rotten tree rule?

  3. Quite a bit of storm damage around at the moment. One of my neighbours lost the brick wall in front of their property after all the rain damaged its foundations.

  4. Dawn, just a lot of rain, the soil is supersaturated, then some wind. The neighbour is cool.

  5. The council refused to allow us to remove a big pine tree that has damage from lightening slowly rotting its core. I hope it doesn't land on us or our neighbours one day. As you know, lots of huge pines did a tumble at Blackheath recently.

  6. I hope your neighbour was insured - or you are. Who pays for this? I guess you are the 'owner' of the tree ...

  7. My neighbour's insurance covered it, surprisingly.
