Nicholson Museum


Inside Sydney University is the Nicholson Museum, just off the main quad.
It was founded in 1860 and named after Sir Charles Nicholson, Speaker of the NSW Legislative Council and one of the founders of the University.

The Museum houses Australia's largest collection of Etruscan, Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Near Eastern, Cypriot and prehistoric European material.

Entry is free. Opening hours are Monday to Friday 10 - 4.30 and Sundays 12 - 4. Closed public holidays.

  2. Sundays 12-4 must remember that. I know about it but have never been there. Looks well worth a visit.
