AMP Building

Down by Circular Quay is the old AMP building.
Completed in 1961, the AMP building was Sydney's first skyscraper. Before this heights were restricted to 150 ft.

  1. Love the perspective you've used Peter, building disappearing up into the heavens. Wonder what the tallest building is these days?

  2. I thought the heights were restricted to 11 floors because this was the highest the fire brigade ladders reached. Is this 150 feet? Probably close ...

  5. Great shot. I took a shot of this the other day but from a slightly different angle. I actually almost posted it today. I'll save it for another day.

  6. Good shot, very well framed. When we arrived in Australia in 1963 it was the tallest building. I remember mum & dad taking me up to the observation deck. Wonder if they still have one.
