Cycle lane

Getting a bit of negative publicity at the moment are cycle lanes. Here are a few dedicated users in College Street next to Hyde Park.

  1. Its a great idea but I wish they'd stop trying to knock me over in Queens Square.

  2. This seems a good idea and especially that they are painted green and seperate from the main road - ours here in Adelaide are just part of the road with a white line - not a good idea.

  3. That's more cyclists than I've ever seen at one time.

  4. the negatives are from the NRMA and their shock-jock cohorts. This is a retelling of the demise of the trams. We, the people, need to replace the car in the inner city with public transport, cycling and walking.

  5. I think it is a much better idea to have the lanes together like this, painted and seperate...here in the UK they are either side of the road and not as safe with white lines like Dianne said about Adelaide; they become unusable in places, too, when some jerk parks a car in them (illegally).
