The Governor no longer resides here though, Peter. It is now managed by the Historic Houses Trust and only gubnatorial ceremony is conducted there. The Governor lives in her own private house. From memory, I think Samuels was the first governor to do this.
Golly. This is a beautiful park-like setting. All that green. Looks a lot better than all this ice and snow.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful building. You should have a look inside if you haven't already. Its often open to the public. They also hold concerts there.
What a gorgeous building. Love the architecture- really should be called art.
