Photographs from the Emerald City
Golly. This is a beautiful park-like setting. All that green. Looks a lot better than all this ice and snow.
The Governor no longer resides here though, Peter. It is now managed by the Historic Houses Trust and only gubnatorial ceremony is conducted there. The Governor lives in her own private house. From memory, I think Samuels was the first governor to do this.
Good shot. It's hard to snap the front of it, in good light.
I think my comment's disappeared.Beautiful building. You should have a look inside if you haven't already. Its often open to the public. They also hold concerts there.
What a gorgeous building. Love the architecture- really should be called art.
I was going to say as Julie has that it is not longer the Governor's residence. I have not been inside yet ... would like to one day.
Well Joan I was invited there once!
