Australian federal election

On September 7 this year Australians go to the polls. Voting is compulsory here so unless you have a good excuse or wish to pay the fine there is no choice. Here are the two main contenders for Prime Minister - Tony Abbott (Liberal party) and Kevin Rudd (Labor) who is the current PM. Last night they went head to head in a televised debate. You can view some highlights here.

  1. Amazing that voting is compulsory (could use that in the States) Looks like Rudd breathed "fire and brimstone" into the debate!

  2. I don't know about you but I hate election time.

  3. I will be so glad when this election is over. It has been going on for months.
