In Canberra is this museum of our nation's social history.
'Opened in 2001, the National Museum building is an architectural landmark. Inspired by the idea of a jigsaw puzzle, it reflects the many intertwined stories that make up Australia’s history.'
Wow great building. I love the fact that our modern museums are choosing to have iconic buildings to hold the collections in. here in the Uk there was a nasty tendancy in the 1970's to create what i can only describe as concrete blocks for some museums, that has changed now thank goodness.
ReplyDeleteThought that was the channel 7 logo from that angle.
ReplyDeleteI'm not all that keen on the architecture of this place but it is an interesting museum.
