Picnikers at Hanging Rock

Look closely at these picnic people - notice anything strange? Hanging Rock is not in Sydney, but about 10 hours South. Worth a visit. It is a bit spooky.

Winter in Sydney

Welcome back Sydney, I have missed you.

Winter is not so bad in Sydney. No ice, no snow but ... it is still cold for us softies. As everyone keeps telling me our houses are not built for the cold.

This young lady walked into a photo I was framing, that's good.

The last post

Yesterday at 11 I watched the ceremony at the Hyde Park War memorial. The ode to the fallen was read and a bugler played the last post. Some members of the Australian Army saluted as it was played.

Severe Sydney weather warning for heavy rain, damaging winds says today's paper- they were right. Sydneysiders have been warned to brace themselves for a day of wild weather, with heavy rain forecast to strike the metropolitan area during the morning peak followed by an afternoon of damaging winds. The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a severe weather warning for heavy rain and damaging winds for the Metropolitan, Hunter, Illawarra and South Coast forecast districts on Monday. Basically its raining cats and dogs!
