A relaxed crowd waiting in the warm afternoon sun for the music to start.
Finally on comes the awaited star.
Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu is a blind Indigenous Australian musician, who sings in the Yolngu language. He plays the guitar upside down. Recommended listening.
It was all happening there.

I thought about going to see Gurrumul but have seen him before and think he is at Womadelaide again this year as well. The Domain can get too crowded for me. It got to capacity well before the headline act again. You had a pretty good spot. Did you stay for Manu Chau. I saw a bit on the screen in College Street. Don't think its my kind of thing.
ReplyDeleteIt sure was Jim,
ReplyDeleteno, Ann we just stayed for Gurrumul and then walked Macquarie St.
Sounds wonderful! Good pix!
ReplyDeleteNice to see people relaxing and enjoying the cool weather and music of Gurrumul. Hope to see and listen to his songs personally.
