I was wondering recently who used those phones and a week later found myself using one! The highway patrol found our trailer was unregistered (by 2 days) and would not let us move it one inch further until the rego was paid. No mobile coverage so we had to use the public phone. The fine was $650 ouch.
Right in the middle of the footpath, I have never seen anyone use this phone, more for advertising revenue. Park and Elizabeth St.
The shape of the booth is very different from what I'm used to.
