Fires in Sydney

Photo: Phil Hearne Fires raging across NSW, some in the Blue Mountains, a huge green belt about 50km west of the CBD. Its an early start to the fire season - might be a long hot summer. A big thankyou to the mainly volunteer rural fire fighters.

    Horrible fires, Been following the news from Sydney and the Blue Mountains recently. Hard to understand what you are going through.

    Oh gosh, did could not have been an easy scene to be near or to photograph. Terrible news. I hope these brave firemen will be OK.

    Praying for an improvement in NSW's fire situation. I'm glad my Sydney family is temporarily in Israel now. For once it is safer to be here than in Sydney.
