The annual Sydney Mardi Gras is on this weekend. This crossing on Oxford Street, where the parade marches, has been repainted for the event. A little bit of controversy in today's newspaper about its cost -what do you think? Is it worth $100,000? to read the story click

Sydney's bold ideas never cease to amaze me.
ReplyDeleteBut that's a lot of money.
I love it and how you captured it, but can't believe the cost! The article didn't elaborate...maybe they need to use cheaper paint next time?
ReplyDeleteWow! $100,000? *sigh* Tax payers dollars at work?
ReplyDeleteNice shot. It is pricey though.
ReplyDeleteI like it but $100,000 is ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteWow, a hundred grand?? That seems a bit steep...
ReplyDeleteIt looks great but the price tag is steep.
ReplyDeleteI can imagine how the money adds up ... its on a busy street so you'd have to pay for traffic control, the stop go man etc etc before you even begin to paint. Looks great.
