I agree with Lois, Peter. I don't think the cafes along Elizabeth are swish at all. They are just plonked on the footpath with no ambience and with plenty of bus fumes and traffic of all sorts.
It does seem to attract the upmarket types so I imagine it would have upmarket prices to match. It's a popular hangout for lawyers and journalists apparently.
Very interesting contrast. Elegant building with very basic tables and chairs.

ReplyDeleteMaybe not swish but it does look expensive. Especially when they are sitting there with their wine over lunch.
