Australian federal election

On September 7 this year Australians go to the polls. Voting is compulsory here so unless you have a good excuse or wish to pay the fine there is no choice. Here are the two main contenders for Prime Minister - Tony Abbott (Liberal party) and Kevin Rudd (Labor) who is the current PM. Last night they went head to head in a televised debate. Bungan Castle

Located on the headland between Bungan and Newport Beach. Built in 1919 by Adolph Albers from locally quarried sandstone.

31 kilometres north of the Sydney is this hidden gem, hard to find, between Newport and Mona Vale. The name Bungan is first recorded in a survey in 1814 as Bongin Bongin, referring to the area (700 acres) which included present day Mona Vale and Bungan and was granted to Robert Campbell junior.
