Here is the start of a beautiful walk north of Sydney.
First you need to catch a ferry from Palm Beach to Patonga.
Patonga is an isolated village in one of the bays of the Hawkesbury River.
It has a campground and a restaurant.

Two Roos

Out in the paddock some Eastern Grey Kangaroos. Near Pokolbin.

Yep, it is spring, all the vines are budding.

Just spent a weekend in the Hunter, about 3 hours drive north of Sydney, the premier wine country of NSW. Wedding party stopped along a road for pictures.

The Boxer Damoxenus Statue

In the Royal Botanic Gardens is a pair of sculptures titled the Boxers.
The marble copies are from the original boxers statues, "Kreugas and Damoxenus" by Italian sculptor, Antonio Canova (1757-1822) now in the Vatican

The Finger Wharf

Wooloomooloo wharf aka The Finger Wharf is the largest timbered-piled building in the world and was completed in 1915. During its working life for around 70 years it mainly handled the export of wool, but also acted as a staging point for troop deployment to the World Wars as well as a disembarking point for new migrants arriving in Australia.
Today it has been redeveloped as a fashionable complex housing a hotel, restaurants and residential apartments. The well-known film actor Russell Crowe lives in a $14 million penthouse at Finger Wharf (right at the end)

HMAS Ballarat

Berthed at Garden Island is HMAS Ballarat is an Anzac class frigate of the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). The frigate was laid down in 2000 and commissioned into the RAN in mid-2004. (Wiki)

Looking across the harbour to Admiralty House, the official Sydney residence of the Governor-General of Australia. If you look closely you can see Quentin Alice Louise Bryce hanging out the washing.
