The Museum of Old and New Art is a great reason to visit Hobart. A private museum built and run by David Walsh who earnt his fortune in an unusual way. Easy to get to: drive and its about 20 mins along the Derwent River, a level bike ride along a well defined bike path or the best way is by this ferry terminal from Hobart Docks.
The mirrored entrance to MONA and the boat arriving at the wharf.
Thanks to the Tasmanian Tourist Bureau I won this fabulous holiday. The accommodation was at the Henry Jones Art Hotel, located in an historic IXL jam factory it retains lots of the original features: sandstone walls, tin roof old machinery, but as you can see it is also lined with original artwork. Right on the docks the location is a short walk to the best Hobart has to offer. Click here to view more.
